You might think Botox injections are the best way reduce fine lines and wrinkles. The problem? They cost as much as $600 per treatment and last only last 3 to 4 months before the crow's feet and frown lines reappear.
There has to be a better way.
That's why I found and tested the most popular anti-aging and luxury face creams on the market to see if any of them could actually leave me with soft, lifted, glowing skin.
Keep reading to see which facial cream is the best option in 2026 based on its price, application, ingredients, and overall results.

Hanacure is a cutting-edge skincare brand who attracted attention with the All-in-One Facial®. When Drew Barrymore said this mask "changed her life," the internet was flooded with before and after pictures.
And, to put it simply, the results were amazing. Younger looking skin with softened lines and a glowing complexion within 20 minutes. So, why does their original product work so well for over 90% of users? Every ingredient is backed by the latest skincare science, designed to deliver noticeable improvement.
That's why I'm testing Hanacure's P7Pro® High-Density Cream, which uses 7 clinically dosed peptides that, according to the brand, fades wrinkles and hydrates skin for a firmer and younger. We'll see about that.
La Mer Background

La Mer is an older, more established brand with over 50 years of experience using ingredients from the sea to energize skin. Because of that, they have a loyal following for a whole range of luxury ingredients, but the one I'm focusing on is Crème de la Mer, or "cream of the sea."
This face cream is supposed to improve the skin's barrier for healthier, firmer skin when used daily and uses La Mer's Miracle Broth as well as Lime Tea and a list of other ingredients.
So, I'm reviewing this one to see if it's really worth the higher price tag when compared to Hanacure's P7Pro® Cream and our third option below.
Dr. Barbara Sturm Background

This brand was founded by Dr. Barbara Sturm, as the name suggests. She specializes in orthopedics and inflammatory conditions like osteoarthritis.
That doesn't see very related to skincare, but people keep on recommending Sturm Super Anti-Aging Face Cream. It uses plankton biopolymers to support firm, supple skin, as well as hyaluronic acid to leave your skin hydrated and radiant.
So, do any of these creams actually work? Let's compare them to see which is the best.
Head-to-Head: Price

-p-500.jpg)
So, the first thing I noticed was the price (because I had to pay before I could test them!). Crème de la Mer hurt my wallet the most at $360 for 2 ounces or around 59 ml. That's almost $100 more than the other two options.
Next up is Sturm Super Anti-Aging Face Cream, which costs $299 for 50ml (or around 1.7 oz), if you subscribe. Still expensive, but like Crème de la Mer, it might be worth it if it leaves my skin firmer and my complexion brighter.
At the same price as Sturm is Hanacure's P7Pro® Cream available at $288 right now (for 1.76 oz or 52 ml). But even crazier, you can lower that price to $275 if you bundle it with Microphol® cleanser, which offers a luscious lather to reduce irritation and moisturize your skin, leaving you feeling fresh and absolutely radiant. That means you literally save money to get two products instead of one.

Head-to-Head: Application

I wanted something that was easy to apply and left me looking soft and velvety, not wet and greasy. Hanacure came in a box shaped like an elegant lotus flower. When I applied the rich, silky cream to my face I was amazed. As the most affordable option, I was not expecting a Hanacure to melt into my skin without any slipperiness, leaving me soft and smooth within minutes. Honestly, this was going to be hard to beat. The only thing that I didn't love was the tightening feeling as it was lifting my skin.
Next, Crème de la Mer worked great for hydration, which I think would be perfect for someone with a lot of irritation and redness. It wasn't oily or sticky, and absorbed just as well as Hanacure's P7Pro® Cream. One thing to note for this one is that you need to activate the "Miracle Broth" by warming it up between your fingertips until it becomes translucent.
Finally, the Sturm cream was light and smooth, but after applying I didn't really like the way my skin looked or felt. It definitely left me a little oily. Of course, the real results would show up after consistent use, so I can't judge completely yet.

Head-to-Head: Ingredients

Now we're getting into the really important stuff. What is in these bottles and does it actually work?
Creme de la Mer's main ingredient is "Miracle Broth" which is supposed to strengthen, stabilize, and sooth the skin. This is the main component of all La Mer products made from Giant Sea Kelp, vitamins, and minerals. Sounds great, right? Well, after deeper research, dermatologists and critics don't seem to care for it because the formula lacks independent, peer-reviewed studies. No retinols, no peptides, no good.
Sturm uses Hyaluronic Acid to draw moisture into the skin. It also uses plankton biopolymers, purslane, and meadow knotweed extract. However, many experts call Dr. Barbara Sturm a fake who spreads pseudoscience. After all, she is not a dermatologist but an orthopedic doctor. Still, I think this formula is better than Creme de la Mer, even if it's overpriced (mainly because of the hyaluronic acid).
Hanacure's P7Pro® Cream on the other hand is clinically tested, dermatologist approved, and uses 7 peptides, each with a beneficial purpose for your skin. Whether it's the acetyl hexapeptide-8 for fighting wrinkles, nonapeptide-1 for whitening the skin, palmitoyl tripeptide-1 for boosting elasticity, or any of the other peptides, this formula is backed by science to provide real, noticeable results for your skin. It also has other ingredients for hydration, without any damaging parabens, sulfates, phthalates, alcohol, or harsh fragrances.

Head-to-Head: Results

Price, applications, and ingredients can only tell you so much. That's why I tested each facial cream for 2 weeks, to see what the results were.
While all three products noticeably hydrated and soothed my skin, the changes were mostly subtle. With Creme de la Mer, my skin felt much healthier and smoother, but there wasn't much of a visible difference. It definitely worked, but not enough for me to celebrate it, especially since it's also the most expensive option.
Sturm definitely cleared up my skin. I looked brighter and my hyperpigmentation and appearance were noticeable better. Was it actually a Botox alternative? Not really. It didn't lift my face or really tighten up wrinkles, but I was surprised how well it helped my complexion.
That brings me to P7Pro® Cream by Hanacure. This stuff is like Botox in a bottle. That slightly uncomfortable tightening feeling when I first applied it? It made a difference literally within 20 minutes.
As I kept using it, I got used to the sensation, but the real transformation happened when I looked in the mirror. Tighter skin all over. Better volume. It actually faded my crow's feet, softened my smile lines, and those deep forehead creases? Gone. My skin was glowing from ear to ear, and so was my smile because I was so happy with the results.
Honestly, when people say Botox alternative, I thought that was impossible, but you can leave the Botox in the syringe and use Hanacure's P7Pro® Cream to get similar results for much cheaper.

Luckily, my favorite is also the most affordable option. I will say, you will get results from all three of these brands, but none of them lifts like Hanacure. You can literally feel it instantly and see it in 20 minutes. That's literally days before you see any results from Botox.
